What Makes This Place Great? TriMet Wants Your Stories Too!

What Makes This Place GreatWhat Makes This Place Great? The people, places and things that make our region unusually wonderful, just launched. It’s a new site, brought to you by TriMet:

What Makes This Place Great is an online collection of stories about the people, places and things that make the Portland region wonderful. It’s sponsored by TriMet with the intent of celebrating and sharing all the things – big and little – that make us happy we live here

So kinda like TriMet Diaries . . . but only the heartwarming stories, and not exclusively about transit. It’s also got elements of I Live Here: PDX.

The first few stories are pretty good, including this one is about Will, a SE Portland wheelchair basketball player. There’s a story about a Troutdale farmer, a Beaverton cheesecake maker, and several more.

Contribute your own, but remember to send your transit stories to me!

They apparently can’t be bothered with providing an RSS feed. Stupid.
